When you first bring home a puppy or other dog to your house it will take them a little time to adjust. They will be in brand new and unfamiliar surroundings and might need a little extra comforting. It is best to have food and water available for your dog at all times in the beginning so they will not go hungry. It is important to take your dog out for a restroom break before retiring for the evening and take them out first thing in the morning also so they can relieve themselves.
